Venice is a magical city at any time of the day or season of the year. But in the Fall, the days are shorter and the crowds (slightly) smaller, which affords an opportunity to savor more of the atmosphere of the city itself. These photographs were taken at off-peak hours, both in the early morning as the city woke up and the visitors still in bed, and in the evening when most were back at their hotels or dining in the many fine restaurants. Enjoy!
